PRESS RELEASE
The Texas Navy Association President and vice president/ membership have authorized the formation of a squadron for Galveston and Surrounding counties.
The initial formation meeting was held on May 14th, 2016 with over 30 participants attending. The next meeting will be held on June 25, @ the Rosenberg Library in Galveston in the Fox Room from 2 to 5 P.M..
The purpose of the meeting is to elect officers and adopt the by laws for the squadron. We ask if at all possible to attend the meeting as this will be the last meeting before we present our application to the Board of Directors of the TNA for approval as a new squadron at the August quarterly meeting.
We have received many inquiries and emails of interest in establishing the squadron. We will become very active in promoting the history of the Texas navy and its relationship with Galveston.
We encourage you to become an active member and take part in this historic endeavor. We look forward to building a very robust organization concentrating on Galveston’s role in Texas Naval history.
Look forward to seeing you at the meeting.
I remain,
